MINNEAPOLIS and DURHAM, N.C., September 21, 2023 —Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) and MetaMetrics® announce the expansion of their partnership to report MetaMetrics’ Lexile® reading and Quantile® mathematics measures from DRC BEACON, an interim assessment for grades 3–8. Reporting Lexile and Quantile measures makes DRC BEACON an even more powerful tool for educators to use to target instruction and make informed decisions.
The Lexile and Quantile Frameworks place both the student and instructional material on the same scale to match the learner with reading and math resources at their ability level. Lexile and Quantile measures provided by DRC BEACON will help teachers address learning gaps and differentiate instruction by giving them insights into student reading and math readiness. By matching student readiness with instructional materials, teachers can target instruction and access resources to help accelerate growth.
